A Porcelaine Christmas

September 30, 2024 14:00
From Saturday, November 30, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025, the Château de Chenonceau and Bernardaud, a French porcelain manufacturer founded in 1863 in Limoges and still family-owned, will join forces to perpetuate heritage, excellence and the French art of living in the purest refinement of a “Porcelain Christmas”. The Bernardaud collections match the floral settings of the château's famous workshop and its Meilleur Ouvrier de France scenographer.

From December 6 onwards, a tailor-made program of guided tours, workshops and themed lectures will be offered to the public to discover all the wonders of porcelain: its history, its manufacturing secrets, but also its use in tableware and French gastronomy.

Information and reservations

Chenonceau is the place to be for the Festive Season; every year it adorns itself with sumptuous decorations, eagerly awaited by visitors. A new scenography, designed to amaze young and old alike! The château is also one of the initiators of the “Noël au Pays des Châteaux” event, a tour program in which the châteaux of the Loire Valley join forces to celebrate the Festive Season with their visitors.
This year, to celebrate Christmas, Château de Chenonceau is inviting a French heritage house to collaborate and promote French art de vivre. The industrial and artistic adventure of the Bernardaud factory began in Limoges in 1863, in a region that possesses the three essential ingredients for porcelain-making: kaolin, fresh water and forests. Still family-owned, Bernardaud has always chosen excellence, quality and creation. In the 66-metre-long gallery, a monumental table set for 70 guests invites you to join in the festivities, It showcases an enchanting reinterpretation of Queen Catherine’s receptions and her passion for birds. The Aux Oiseaux collection was an obvious choice.

Join us in this refined setting for an exceptional Christmas, where heritage, art and gourmet delights come together to celebrate the spirit of the season in splendor!
