Ice cream

🍧🍨🍦 Need to cool down? Then let's talk about ice cream! Ice cream has a long history and our ancestors had to accomplish real feats and use their imagination to develop this melting dessert. The first ice cream maker was created over 2000 years ago. To make the first Persian "chorbets", the snow from the mountains, compressed in bags, was transported on camels. These frozen drinks obtained by mixing frozen fruits with honey and snow were all the rage. In the 18th century, semi-buried iceboxes were built in Versailles or Chantilly and innovative recipes of "snow" were created using parmesan or artichokes! People used to taste them in small porcelain cups or molded in fruits or animal shapes. A century later, still no ice balls but a service by the slice. It is finally thanks to Thomas Jefferson, future president of the United States and ambassador in France, that the Americans discovered the "ice creams"; the famous Sundae was finally created in 1892.
